The world of Virtual Reality comes to Pathways to Aviation


Enjoy the sounds of Peace, Love & Music at our Friday night dinner show – 10/4/2019!

Join us for the 12th annual Wings & Wheels Fall Festival at the Delaware Coastal Airport in Georgetown on Saturday, October 5th from 10-4. Admission is Free! Food and Craft Vendors, entertainment from Glass Onion, activities for the kids by the Georgetown Boys & Girls Club + the largest contingent of Vintage Aircraft and Cars, EVER!! Where are you able to get or see so much for FREE. In addition, there will be an WWII encampment that will focus on the History of the Airport & the return of Navy Midshipmen Parachute Team and the ever popular, Pilot’s Flour Bombing Competition.  Plenty of off-site parking at Sussex Academy and overflow at Sterling Square Shopping Center with buses and trams to shuttle you to and from the gate, starting at 9 am. Parking is $5/vehicle. THERE WILL BE NO ONSITE PARKING AT THE AIRPORT THIS YEAR.

The world of Virtual Reality comes to Pathways to Aviation

This year our students attending the Pathways to Aviation program will be able to enter the world of Virtual Realty as it relates to aviation compliments of James Wheatley and his company VR  Wheatley. Jimmy is an instructional teaching specialist with IRSD, implementing various technology initiatives. VR Wheatley builds state of the art computers optimized for VR Education. This year he will be providing life like flight simulations in iconic aircraft from around the world. VR Wheatley will also be on hand on Saturday, event day for attendees to try out the world of Virtual Reality!!
