RAF Jet makes first appearance

WINGS & WHEELS 2021 SET FOR SATURDAY, OCT 2, 2021

We are hopeful that our event will take off as planned, so we are continuing to plan behind the scenes as we take all the necessary steps to comply with current restrictions and keeping our attendees safe. SO, what to expect?? A huge display of WWII vintage aircraft, most housed at the Delaware Coastal Airport + a large contingent of all types of planes that will flying on Saturday. The Historical Vintage Car Club of Delaware will once again be our car show coordinators. The US Naval Academy Parachute Team is also planning a return. Our Harbor Defense Group of WWII re-enactors will once again be on site as will be First State Skate Supply demonstrating and teaching skateboarding tips and tricks PLEASE STAY TUNED TO THE WEBSITE AS WE MOVE THROUGH THE PROCESS!! Parking is $5/vehicle. THERE WILL BE NO ONSITE PARKING AT THE AIRPORT THIS YEAR.

This year for the first time we welcome from NJ Warbirds a B. A. C. Jet Provost T Mk3A. The Jet Provost was 1 of 70 single engine low wings made. It was a British basic training aircraft and was used by the RAF from 1944-1993
