Wings & Wheels-Where the Sky meets the Road
Is brought to you by the Greater Georgetown Chamber of Commerce, and The Delaware Aviation Museum. Celebrating our 11th anniversary the popular Sussex County event on Saturday features a “fly in” of WWII-era and other vintage aircraft, a huge classic car show, local fan favorite Glass Onion returns, and various craft & food vendors. The festival also includes WWII encampments & re-enactors, this year focused on the airports contribution to WWII and the ever popular, Pilot’s Flour Bombing completion. The event has grown to include an Aviation Education Expo on Friday morning, which targets HS Juniors and Seniors and an exciting change to our Friday night with a Greaser’s Ball dinner show with Kathie Martin & The Hot Rods, a show not to be missed! Come dressed as your favorite 50’s celebrity and be ready for the hula hoop & twist contests. We are excited for the return of the US Naval Academy Parachute Team and if lucky, last surviving Doolittle Raider, Lt Col Dick Cole!! Mark your calendars and see you there!
